Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Champagne viewed through a Penfolds lens, bringing together the expertise of two celebrated houses with a shared commitment to craftsmanship. Created in partnership with Champagne Thiénot, this classic blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay is sourced from highly regarded vineyards across the Champagne region, delivering a cuvée that is both refined and effortlessly inviting. Delicate floral aromas mingle with notes of yuzu citrus, roasted nuts and vanilla, leading to a palate alive with layers of lemon meringue tart, citrus, nougat and a gentle sherbet-like freshness. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak.
