Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine's complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.

Crafted from the prized red soils of Marananga in the north-west of the Barossa Valley, Penfolds Bin 150 Shiraz 2018 showcases the distinctive character of one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions. Warm, dry conditions and ancient soils provide the foundation for a bold yet refined Shiraz, shaped in the unmistakable Penfolds style with a thoughtful balance of French and American oak. Layers of boysenberry, mulberry and raspberry unfold across the palate, complemented by hints of cola, exotic spice and a subtle ironstone minerality. Named after Cellar 23 at Penfolds' Magill Estate, where Pinot Noir barriques mature, Bin 23 continues the winery's enduring pursuit of exceptional cool-climate Pinot Noir. An elegant, lighter-bodied wine, the 2025 vintage showcases the charm and complexity that have become hallmarks of the Penfolds Collection. Bright strawberry red in the glass, it opens with fragrant aromas of cherry, strawberry compote and rosehip, complemented by hints of rhubarb, delicate florals and subtle exotic spice. The palate is fresh and beautifully balanced, with layers of cherry, pomegranate and dried cranberry supported by crisp acidity, a distinctive mineral edge and fine tannins that carry the wine through a long, graceful finish. Since its first release in 1959, Penfolds Bin 28 has stood as a benchmark for warm-climate Australian Shiraz. Originally sourced from the renowned Kalimna Vineyard in the Barossa Valley, it has evolved into a multi-region blend, with Barossa fruit continuing to provide the rich, generous character that defines this enduring classic. The 2024 vintage opens with layered aromas of black tea, pipe tobacco and worn leather, complemented by hints of Black Forest cake, dried fig and milk chocolate. The palate is bright and energetic, showcasing mulberry, boysenberry and raspberry alongside subtle savoury notes and a touch of vanilla spice. Juicy acidity and fine cocoa-dusted tannins bring structure and length, delivering a bold yet balanced Shiraz that drinks beautifully now or will reward careful cellaring through to 2045.

Often affectionately known as 'Baby Grange', Bin 389 was first created by legendary Penfolds winemaker Max Schubert in 1960, combining the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz. The 2024 vintage carries that legacy forward with a generous, weighty palate of dark chocolate, cherry liqueur and blueberry, complemented by sweet spice, tobacco leaf and savoury ironstone notes. Fine, silken tannins and fresh acidity provide balance and length, while maturation in barrels previously used for Grange adds another layer of character. A classic Penfolds red with impressive cellaring potential through to 2051.

Inspired by the iconic Bin 707, Penfolds Bin 407 was created to showcase the character of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing together ripe fruit, structure and carefully integrated French and American oak. The 2024 vintage opens with wild raspberry and blackcurrant, layered with forest floor, bay leaf, olive tapenade and warm spices, with subtle cedar and vanilla adding depth. Generous and juicy on the palate, mulberry and cherry plum glide across a broad mid-palate, framed by fresh acidity and chalky tannins, while savoury notes of barbecue jalapeño and toasted cumin drive a long, textured finish. Approachable on release yet built for the cellar, it promises to develop beautifully through to 2048.

Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Shiraz from the warmer districts of South Australia is carefully blended, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. Ripe plum, blueberry & sweet spice - undeniably South Australian Shiraz. The palate shows flint, liquorice, smoked meat & paprika. Integrated tannins remind us of the wine's place in the Penfolds family.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.
